Re: Realistic this market price for my guitar

The one on Reverb has been for sale for 7 months - that means the asking price is TOO high. OP, if your guitar is the same as that, plus the top crack, your price will be a good bit below that asking price. What I would do is take the replacement cost, less 40%, less $200-$300 for the top crack ...

Re: D3 - Just the bling?

Pretty much. Same guitar with the biggest difference being the herringbone on the D2h. Prices can be a bit different when one has a bound headstock and neck and the other doesn't. Also if one has an Adirondack top, I believe, the add-on for the Adi is around $1,000.

Re: New Puchase Collings OM2HC - a few questions, thanks

T,
When I’m on the road, I always stop in to see Jeff and the guys at Acoustic Vibes Music. They are a solid group and I usually buy one (or this year two) guitars when I’m there. I have found the Collings guitars extremely consistent from one to another. Probably the most consistent guitar company ...

Re: D'Addario 12-53 Lights vs, Martin 12.5-55

Like Silly said, infrequent and few posts here so I only check in a couple of times a month. I do use lights on my Collings. I like a softer feel and easier bend. I find no loss of tone or volume doing so. As I use different strings on different guitars I can check what mine Collings are wearing ...

New Collings Hill Country guitar line

Collings has dropped information on their new line of guitars. These were recently shown at the Blue Ridge Guitar Camp and, to one Collings fan, they look fantastic. They should be out in the fall. In line with Collings’ attention to quality and detail, even the pick-guards are made in house ...

Re: I’m not liking recent Collings bursts

Since sunburst are individually painted, no two are exactly the same. The ones shown don't appeal to me but they may someone else. Just find one you like the sound and look of and take it home.
