Yep....that's what it sounds like. Although, mine seems a little more punchy, live and in-person.

I just bought a CJ-45T sitka top. I am totally curious to see it next week. I had also ordered a CJ-45AT in the past but ended up cancelling the order before it arrived.

Big Cj-45 congrats on the incoming! Expect it to be TOTALLY different than any of the other many Collings you have had. Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Thanks Mark. That’s good to hear. While I do like Adirondack something tells me that Sitka will be a great pairing for this guitar. Depending on how it sounds I will likely put on nickel bronze strings.

perhaps the sitka variants will sound attractive out of the box, but give that Adi some time and.....

I typically prefer Adirondack on their dreads and OMs, but have always like the CJ's better in Sitka. On that note, my CJ-45T arrived and it's a great instrument. I imagine this is close to what a 40's Gibson jumbo might have sounded like when new.

Glad you dig it David. How do you this it compares to any other CJ35 or CJ you've had or played?
I've heard other guys say the same thing on the Adi vs Sitka top on this body style. My CJ-35 was Adi and my CJ-45TA is the same so I'm curious.
