Hi Folks, I'm new here and thinking of jumping into the Colling's pool head-first with a CJ-45 T. Originally looking at the D1 Baked Sitka, D1 T and D1 T Baked Sitka as primary options, but saw the CJ-45 T demos and that was that.
I was hoping to find some real world samples/demos online with at least some partial strumming a little bit more aggressive than the great sounding, but slower demos like the great CJ-45 Prototype demo from the North American Guitar referenced earlier in this thread. (Being new here, I should probably refrain from posting links just yet.) Perhaps someone here might have a SoundCloud link they'd like to share.
Thanks in advance

Curious if anyone with a CJ45 has been experimenting with strings? I'm still on JP NB's and despite being happy with them, have been thinking of trying something else...maybe even try a set of lights since I'm most a fingerpicker. Curious if anyone else has been experimenting?

I'm on my 2nd set of the new D'Ad SX 13-56 on my played-in 2008 CJmhA. The nano coating is really special... clear tone plus moving up/down the fretboard with a min of squeak is a real winner for me. I had sworn off coated strings long ago, but.. give them a few days to calm down and 4-5mos later you might need a new set.
ps... old CJ's are some sweet.
