recommended string gauge for wl k is 11 to 52. how much danger would it be to put on 12 to 54

From the Waterloo website WL-K page:
Due to this model's ultra-lightweight construction, we recommend a maximum string gauge of .011" to .052".

Mine is crazy responsive and resonant with NB 11-52s. I don’t know what would be gained by going up in gauge. I know it’s a very lightly built guitar.
